cheers to a sucky weekend

It has been a super dull past couple days. Long weekends should mean fun. Instead it meant rain, rain and more rain. Plus several nasty thunderstorms.
I did however get my cable, internet and phone services ready for the move at the end of the month, after 45 minutes on the phone of course. Tomorrow I conquer the power company, woot.
I had the weirdest dreams last night. Ever have the kind of dream that just seems like it goes on and on and on? Those were mine last night. I felt like I dreamed them all night long, I'd wake up, go to the bathroom and hope that would shake them but no such luck. It made for a very fitful night's sleep. And because I remember them vividly their weirdness has continued to haunt me today. *shiver*
So this week is my last week at work (wOOt), we start looking after baby on Friday and then next week I either have the week to relax or I'm a temp secretary for a local church. I'm kinda rooting for having the week off. With vacation looming and the return to school on it's tail, it'd be nice to have the week to pack and get ready etc. But if not that's cool too. The money would be good.
Alighty, now to attempt some less weird and much more restful sleep. Night all!

I think I like me...

Your responses indicate that you are very precise, and you demand conformity to what is generally accepted as right. Your inclination to be a specialist, in your field of endeavor, is advanced by your interest in systems and structure. You come across in a direct manner, and do not hesitate to express skepticism in a candid tone. You tend to be strict when it comes to following rules, and if asked to enforce them, you use an authoritative approach. Criticism may cause you to react sensitively.
You prefer to tell people what to do in a straightforward fashion, rather than use persuasion. You are very effective in expressing yourself factually and sincerely. You are precise, frank, sensitive to tone, and can become discouraged if criticized unfairly.

You are reserved and prefer to communicate with people one-on-one. You need to be spoken to and listened to in a respectful tone.
You express yourself in a factual, to-the-point manner. Your communication style is precise.

You are intent on getting things done right, and you insist on maintaining the highest quality. You focus on the disciplined mastery of details and systems, and you use principles and tradition to help you maintain an orderly environment. You need to know all of the details all of the time, are cautious of changes in the system, and often take negative feedback personally.

You function well when supplied with rules, manuals, and systems. You prefer that details and proposals be presented in writing. If not pressured, you rarely make mistakes.

You expertly perform your leadership role by demanding that your people follow your organization's rules and policies. You exercise a conservative and watchful style while applying yourself to directing systems and procedures. You are very intent upon having projects completed correctly. You may desire time alone to think matters through and to be satisfied that goals are being reached properly. You may prefer to deal with your subordinates one-on-one. You like a lot of variety and demand action.

You are able to apply self-discipline and thoroughness to your work. Your orientation toward tasks and achievement is guided by an above-average ability to plan, organize, and fulfill specific goals and obligations. Your motivations are usually positive and focused on results.

You tend to be motivated by praise for tasks well done, and by having enough time to complete projects. You are more productive in a structured environment where there are few abrupt changes, and where there is basic job security with good benefits. You desire a professional culture where criticism is carefully administered, and where tradition is respected.

You can be demotivated if systems are not firmly established and routine procedures are not in place. You can become discouraged when criticized unconstructively or unfairly. You tend to be less productive when not supported by enforceable rules, clear directions, step-by-step plans, or written communications.

Your responses indicate that your Emotional Intelligence is exceptionally well developed. You tend to understand the emotional makeup of others, and to accurately sense what other people are feeling. Because you find it easy to see the world from another person's perspective, it is likely that you associate with a diverse group of people. You work for reasons beyond money or status. It is likely that you are proficient in both maintaining relationships and networking. You think before speaking, and form carefully considered judgments about people or situations. Furthermore, you are aware of the impact of your emotions on others.

Featuring Fabulous Facial Features

I don't get facial features. I don't understand how one forehead looks different for another or how a nose can be too long. I never have.
I can't look at someone and say, "Oh she's got so and so's nose!" or whatever. I can't identify people in pictures. Heck, I can hardly pick myself out of a bunch of baby photos. Mom and I have been looking through old pictures and she'll pass me pictures and tell me to pick out someone and I can't do it, at least not be facial features and things like that.
I pick my grandfather out of pictures easily, he's the tall lanky guy with big ears. I pick my mother out of pictures as the boy in the girly clothes with the buck teeth and I pick my aunt out cause she's the one who's never smiling. And even with those markers I'm often wrong.
Facial features have never been something I've noticed, nor have I ever been overly concerned with my own. I like the color of my eyes but that's about it. I couldn't tell you the shape of my face (or anyone else's for that matter), I don't know if I have a regular nose or big lips (I do love 'em though). Oh and apparently I have a chin that all the women in my family just hate. I haven't noticed it as deserving hate, it's an okay chin in my opinion.
I'm complaining though, I can't imagine if I was super concerned over those things, other bodily/self-image concerns are more major for me.

Make-me-smile things

First off: Cat finally fell off the bookshelf. I've been telling him he would for weeks now, but what do I know eh? But he was rolling around, being precarious and the like and off he went. He landed on his feet.. sort of. So all's good! And plus, it made me laugh.
Second: I had beer at 3pm this afternoon and it made me happy. And it was with good company so that also made me happy.
Third: I wore heels todaoy. I regret it now as I am in agony but it was sorta nice at the time.
And Fourth: I have worked out everyday for the past.. long time! yay! And I've even lost a few pounds. This also makes me happy.
These happy thing are of course outnumbered by bad things but I'm ingoring 'em for now.

So that was fun

So I had my very first (and hopefully last) MRI today. And I am pretty sure I would rather be stuck with a thousand needles than do that again.
The woman was so concerned that I was claustrophobic and that that would be the problem with my getting through it. That wasn't however the problem however. Mind you, I won't tell you I loved the walls going to collapse around me feeling or the small amound of breathing space, that definetly didn't help and its not so hot when you're in the middle of an anxiety attack but what bother me was the noise. Episodes of House had me very unprepared for the noise I was about to endure. Very unprepared. I was expected noise but nothing like that. Nothing like need-ear-plugs-kind of noise. Now, I don't like loud noises or alot of noise at all for that matter. I can't turn the television up much higher than a few bars, I don't listen to my music loud. I am just learning to listen to music on headphones and I still can't do it for long. I am not a fan of fireworks, or sirens, I don't like large vehicle horns and I hate barking dogs, yelling people and crying babies. I don't like to go to bars not cause of the large amount of people, or the stuffiness: I don't like the noise. So for me this was really hard, couple it with the small space, general nervousness about the procedure, the pressure to lie still for so long and then the needle and then the reaction I had to the needle and it was not a fun time. To make matters worse, the 30 minutes on the table got stretched out over an hour and a half cause an emergency patient came in and I had to be taken off to have his done and then put back on. Then they had to take me out to inject me with a dye so as to light up my eyes (as if they were already beautifully lit :) and then stick me back in.
So yeah.. I came out crying, had to make her stop once so I could be sick because of the panic attack I was having and then when it was over I was shaking so bad I couldn't stand up. All in all, tons of fun.
However, she said my brain took very good pictures. At least one part of me is photogenic.

To the girl who gave the class presentation today... its "specific" not "pacific".

I am about to dismantle my bathroom sink in an effort to retrieve my eyeliner.

I am co-hosting h4h trivia night. Oh dear.

I work tomorrow night. Joy. But I should get my biz law midterm back so that should make up for it.

Ok. Night!

Fridgey Bad Feelings

So I just dumped a bottle of spaghetti sauce into my pot of spaghetti only to find that it had gone very very bad. So no spaghetti for supper it would seem unless I want to be very very ill tomorrow. Sicker than I will be already from this damned cold! Bless the little brother who gave it to me.

Early Thursday Morning Observations

You know you're watching too much sci-fi when your dreams involve wormhole physics, time dilation and parallel universes.

As a follow-up to angry teeth: I've been getting angry alot lately. Like fuming mad at little things. Perhaps its time to take the meds.

I fidget alot. I was on the bus yesterday and realized... I can't sit still for more than 30 seconds. It must be terribly annoying for those around me. Any chance I burn lots of calories as a result of my fidgeting?

I do not like that I have to leave my apartment at 6:15am to get to work for 7am. And leave my shift at 3:30pm yet don't get home till 4:30pm.

Grocery Needs

I think I need groceries:
My milk is expired by 2 weeks.
My cheese is blue.
My bread is blue.
My fruit smells very very bad.

Yep... so either I need more groceries, need to buy less when I get 'em or I just need to eat them.

In other news, I've noticed that when I get angry I bite down really hard and it makes my teeth hurt.
